Happy Thanksgiving!

I know it isn't Thanksgiving yet, but we just finished creating some thanksgiving cards for our 1st customer!  I am officially excited for the fall and wish that I was sending these cute cards out myself!  Since I am leaving this weekend to go out of town for a while, I don't think I will get any together in time!  Thanksgiving cards really are a great idea!  Here are the pictures of the finished products...we did 2 different cards for this order.

Card Options

Last week we took some pictures of the cards and the paper options.  I think that these pictures help to display the cards better.  Each card has  a few different papers show below.  These papers are to show the variations for each card.  For instance, the card below has three different papers.  These papers could be used for this card.  We could mix up the papers so that each pack of cards ordered has a variety of designs, or you can pick your favorite papers to be used.  This way, you have options!

For this card, 2 papers need to be chosen.  You can flip flop the paper choices to have the stripes on top and trees on bottom, or whatever combo you would like as well.

This card can use any or all paper choices as well.  1 solid color and one patterned paper at least has to be chosen.

This card has to have at least 1 patterned paper chosen.  Just a reminder, this card is 1-sided...it does not open!

For this card, 1 patterned paper has to be chosen.  This is also a 1-sided card.

Cards, Cards, Cards

I finally have some prototypes of cards ready.  Right now I have 4 designs and am planning on having a few more.  Please let me know if you are interested!  I know it is a little early and most of you aren't even thinking about Christmas, but believe me, it is coming a lot faster than you think!  Besides, wouldn't it be great to have all of your nice homemade cards all ready and have one less thing to worry about?  I think so!  :)

This first one was made using American Crafts new line of Christmas Paper:

This photo is showing how the top of the striped paper was distressed as well as the red paper around the fa-la-la-la.
This card was made using the new line from My Mind's Eye.  I just love the colors in the paper.  There is also some paper with snowmen all over it in the same colors, which would be really cute as well:

Here is another card option.  It was made using the new Making Memories Christmas line and clear acetate (like transparency paper) as part of the card over the picture.  It was kind of hard to capture this well in a photo, but I really like the way the acetate makes the card look.  It is different than most cards, which is nice!

This is another one sided card.  It was made using the Making Memories line as well.  The Christmas Tree was made using strips of paper and a distressing ink pad was used around the edges.

Prices are still being worked on at this time, but if you are interested, please let me know.  It is a little early, but if I need to make orders, we need to start now! Thanks for looking!

Christmas Cards

If you're like me, with the start of fall, the thoughts of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas start to pop into my mind.  Even though you may not be planning Christmas yet, I am starting to buy Christmas paper and embellisments!

If you love homemade Christmas cards, but don't have the time, or don't really want to make your own, I have the deal for you! I am beginning to take orders for handmade cards for Christmas.  I am busy checking out all of the latest and greatest Christmas products and am designing cards.  I am planning on having some sample cards on my blog before the end of the week.  I can do any amount and am willing to custom design as well.

Not only that, but, my friend Cara McCleve has a photography business called Capture Photography and we are going to be selling packages for cards and photos for all of the local people in Tucson.  I always enjoy receiving cards with family photos, and who wouldn't love to receive a beautiful handmade card and a professional quality photo?  Here is a link to Cara's photography blog: Capture Photography

Please let me know ASAP if you are interested and we can begin making plans!

My Most Recent

Welcome to my scrapbooking blog!!  I want to use this blog to be able to share some of my layouts and projects with you as well as keep you up to date on the happenings of my little business venture!  Please stop by often and always leave comments to let me know what you would like to see and what you think about the things I am showing!  I hope you enjoy!!

This is an altered item.  It is a little tin that I decorated and then made an album to fit inside.  I made this for my mom's birthday and the pictures inside are of our most recent trip to Washington.  It was the first time in 2 years that we were all together since my brother was on a mission in Argentina!
